TUmaini Na Uwezo (TUNU) activities date back to 2012 when we attended a church in Mwimuto near new Kitisuru in Nairobi where my mum lived and there were some young teenage boys between 12 years and 14 years the youngest was around 8 years who had dropped out of school and were involved in criminal activities. Some of these boys had totally run away from home and become street boys.
My mum started activities in church to try rehabilitate and reunite them back with their families and return them to school and it bore positive fruits.
