Dickson Ofusa is a bright needy 14 year old boy from Mkenge C village in Kilifi North. His father died in 2021. His mother does menial jobs for survival to feed and meet needs for her 4 children. Dickson sat his Kenya Junior Secondary School (KJSEA) exam at Children of the Rising Sun (CRS) comprehensive school and scored 59 out of 72 points and got admitted to Kenyatta High School Mwatate which is a National school  for his senior secondary and he is pursuing the STEM pathway.

Farina Foundation helped him apply for many available scholarships but despite going for vetting he wasn’t accepted in any. We mobilised well-wishers donations and managed to get the bare minimum requirements for him to report in school which he managed to report barely a few days before the midterm break.
